Instructors: Amy and Dominic Esquibel (Owners of Botanik Culture, Inc.)

For this workshop, Dom and Amy will teach the students how to repot plants. We will provide 2” plant varieties for the students to choose from. They will each get a small terra cotta clay pot and soil for repotting. We will provide all materials. It will be a step-by-step process. From taking the plants out of their grow pots, placing them into the new clay pot, and adding nutrient-rich soil to the plant. They will talk about what kind of light the plants need and how much water they will need, etc. Teaching that all plants do not require the same care and what to look for if you happen to overwater, what happens to a plant if you move it and what happens to a plant when you repot it. It’s the fundamentals of plant care. We will explain how to care for the plants and the best way to help them flourish in their new home.
